Staff
Website manager and database coordinator Matthew Christy, is the programmer for the Initiaitve for Digital Humanities, Media, and Culture at Texas A&M University. Matt is a former medical librarian and now serves as the Lead Software Applications Developer at the IDHMC. Matt also works on XSLTs to display the XML files that make up the Poetess Archive and display its contents in NINES.

Database designer & PHP author Dave Woods, Ph.D., Is a member of the Research Computing Support Group at Miami University where he provides computation support to all members of the research community at Miami. Dave’s background is in experimental high energy particle physics.
Site designer Karen Shimizu, B.A. Smith College, is a self-taught web-developer. She does all of her coding by hand, and has been doing web-work for non-profits and small businesses for 8 years.

Margaret (Peggy) Davis, Ph.D. Candidate, Department of English, Miami University, Oxford, OH 45056. Peggy was coeditor, with Laura Mandell and Annie Finch, of "Poetess Poetics: A New Look at a Lyric Tradition" -- the original nucleus of the Poetess Archive. Peggy has searched for, scanned, and typed texts.
Karen G. Mitchell is a first year PhD student in Comp/Rhet, having moved to Ohio from Alaska after teaching elementary school and freshman comp for 32 years. Her interests center on emerging theories of subversive uses of the essay form. Karen has searched for, scanned, and typed texts.
