Images for this volume were provided by the Harris Collection. These images come from an American printed edition of the 1828 Forget Me Not published by Carey, Lea, and Carey in Philadelphia. This Philadelphia edition re-arranged the plates as is reflected by the List of Plates for each edition. All other contents are identical in both editions with the exception of this List of Plates. The Philadelphia edition was printed in the same green glazed paper boards as all other Forget Me Not volumes. The London edition used by the Poetess Archive is a re-binding of the volume in maroon leather boards. For this reason, we are unable to compare the front and back cover images on the Philadelphia edition to those images on the London edition.
This document follows the rules specified for TEI use by NINES.
All quotation marks and apostrophes have been transcribed as entity references.
Any dashes occurring in line breaks have been removed.
Because of web browser variability, all colons and hyphens have been typed on the U.S. keyboard; dashes have been rendered as two hyphens.
Special characters (letters with accents, etc.) have been coded according to Unicode rather than as entity references.
Page numbers appear at the beginning of each page, no matter where originally placed.
